Lately, I have been engaged in the art of stone and rock balancing. During my many daily walks in nature, and especially along the beach, I find myself deeply drawn to the stones and rocks I encounter along the way.

At every opportunity, I create and build stone and rock balancing sculptures, and  I feel an incredible sense of satisfaction  when I see the new sculpture I have created standing proudly infront of me, with all the stones stable in perfect balance, as if the magic of "the impossible" has occurred.

The art of balancing stones, also known as "stone balancing" and "rock balancing" art, is a type of temporary land art in which artists balance rocks and other natural elements on top of one another without any adhesives or supports, using only the principles of gravity, counterweight, and pressure points to achieve stability. This practice requires immense patience, focus, and a deep understanding of the shapes and surfaces of the stones in order to find the precise "zero point" of balance for each structure. This art form is often perceived as a meditative and creative activity, a way to connect, and a testament to the impossible, but in art, as in nature itself, "nothing is impossible."
